SWT Energy takes the guesswork out of what system is best suited to a given application. Modern domestic hot water-drainback (DB) systems do not use toxic glycol or oils, instead utilizing potable water requiring only a single-wall heat exchanger. Using a single storage tank and a separate drawback tank and pumps to circulate water through the heat exchanger and the thermal solar panels to the storage tank, these systems are incredibly efficient and easy to maintain.
Solar air collectors can be interlocked to create an array independent from ductwork connections. Air movement is directed between the backside of the collector and a foil-faced insulating sheathing. Air inlets and outlets can be spaced to avoid framing modifications with air passages incorporated in the wall to reduce ductwork and interior finish costs.
