One thing leads to another; when the ground-mounted solar power system SWT Energy installed for Dual Dynamics exceeded performance goals set by their President, Scott Kuck, he insisted we do the same for his acreage. The system seen here was developed with future expansion in mind.
Beginning with 36, 290 watt solar panels paired with AP Systems YC500, micro-inverters the system currently offsets the energy consumed by the home and outbuildings sending any excess energy back to the grid. Future expansion was a priority so being able to add more panels to the lower roof was essential. Also, the modular nature of a solar power system with micro-inverters makes adding capacity a snap. The best part is that there's ample room for the addition of Tesla Powerwalls so the entire property can remain powered through extended grid disruptions without inconveniencing the owners.
