Photovoltaic Systems |
| SWT Energy recently came back from Jacksonville, Florida after attending a U.S. and the Sun Seminar.
The contacts we made at this event were priceless. We will soon offer a photovoltaic system that is easy to install and readily available. These will be posted within the next few weeks. These systems are compatible with wind generators to provide hybrid installations. |

| Some customers may choose to be totally independant from the grid. Battery pack systems are available to allow the owner to stretch the amount of electricity that is harvested. Back-up systems can be ethanol or biodiesel generators, photovoltaic panels (solar) or other type of alternative energy. |
| |
| Local utilities are mounting a campaign to discredit photovoltaic systems as a viable source of electricity. They claim that the cost to refund the generator will cost them more than their raw energy costs. They feel that the lower demand will lead to higher costs that other customers will have to pay for. They think that their maintenance costs will not be shared by the generator. They really think that the investors may loose their dividend checks at the end of the year. So much for "public utilities". They really don't care about the consumer. |
| |
| The utilities fail to state that a meter charge typically pays for maintenance costs of their grid. The maintenance is separate from the raw costs of electricity. If a customer decides to become independant, the maintenance costs will be divided by the remaining customers. Utilities should be encouraging customers to stay on the grid. The extra electricity provided by the photovoltaic systems help reduce the peak demand during the summer months. A lower demand allows for a lower peak demand rate. All customers would benefit from lower rates. With the grid getting older and more difficult to support new customers, the utility would benefit from less need to expand or improve the existing grid system. Utilities will not have to pay for the maintenance on photovoltaic systems. |
| |
| Local utilities have to answer to their investors. At the current time, the investors and utilities are unable to grasp the benefits to this new technology. Nebraska, Kansas and South Dakota tend to be the last states to move forward with new technology. |
| |
| The good news is "the technology is here!" Crews and systems are available to provide this technology. More crews are needed. Contact SWT Energy Inc to learn more. We are only weeks away from posting information about the systems we will provide. |
